Pioneer Point earns money from one of the five games it covers. This page sets out which one, exactly what triggers a payment, what the arrangement does not influence, and what does determine the coverage instead.
The arrangement, stated plainly
Kalos investing s.r.o., which publishes this site, participates in an affiliate program relating to War Thunder, a game created and published by Gaijin Entertainment. Links on this site that point to warthunder.com are paid links.
A commission is paid to Kalos investing s.r.o. when a reader follows one of those links, registers an account on the publisher's site, confirms the email address attached to it, and signs in to the game. That is the complete set of conditions. The commission is a fixed amount for each reader who completes them; it is not a share of anything the reader later spends.
It costs you nothing. No price changes because you arrived through a link on this site, no purchase is required for the commission to be paid, and no money changes hands on pioneerpoint.online at any point. The fee is paid by the advertising program, not by you.
Which links are paid, and how to tell
Paid links appear on the homepage, in the War Thunder row of the comparison library, on the War Thunder entry page, on the method page and on this page. Each one points to warthunder.com, opens in a new tab, and carries the rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes that identify a paid link to search engines.
Every one of them has a plain-language label immediately beside it saying it is paid. There is no version of a paid link on this site that is not labelled where it sits, and the label is never hidden in small print, behind an expandable control or at the bottom of a page.
The links to the other four games—DCS World, Enlisted, World of Tanks and World of Warships—are ordinary references to publisher websites. They earn nothing. So do the links to Australian government bodies, which have no commercial relationship with this site of any kind.

What the commission does not influence
- The order of the comparison table
- Entries are sorted alphabetically by game title. That rule is published on the method page and can be checked by any reader in a few seconds, which is precisely why it was chosen. The paid entry sits where the alphabet puts it.
- Which games are covered
- Inclusion depends on three published conditions: the player's primary unit is a vehicle, online play against other people is a core mode, and the publisher maintains a current official website in English. Four of the five entries have no commercial relationship with this site. Pioneer Point does not accept payment for inclusion and has never been paid to add or remove an entry.
- The criteria used
- All five entries answer the same six questions in the same order. No criterion was added because it suited the paid entry, and none was dropped because it did not.
- What is said about the game
- The War Thunder entry is restricted to what the publisher states publicly, exactly like the other four. Where the publisher does not state something, the entry says so. That is why the paid page spends as much space on what it cannot tell you as on what it can.
- Whether you are urged to act
- There are no countdowns, no limited offers, no scarcity claims and no pressure of any kind on this site, because none of those things would make the information more accurate.
What determines coverage instead
The comparison method page is the full answer and it was published before any paid link was placed. In summary: six fixed questions, asked in the same order for every game; two permitted sources, being the publisher's own public material and Australian government bodies writing within their remit; alphabetical ordering; and three standing refusals—no scores, no rankings, and no descriptions of how a game feels to play.
Those refusals matter here more than anywhere else on the site. A paid arrangement can distort a verdict; it cannot distort a table of publishers' own statements, because there is nothing in such a table to bend.
Why disclose it this thoroughly
Partly because it is required. Under the Australian Consumer Law, misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited, and a paid recommendation presented as an impartial one is a well-understood example. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission enforces that law, and the obligation falls on the publisher of the page, not only on the advertiser.
Mostly, though, because a comparison site that hides its funding is asking you to trust it while withholding the one fact you would need in order to decide whether to. Reading this page should leave you better placed to discount what Pioneer Point says, not worse.
